Hansgrohe mixers and showers sailing the Seven Seas
Seeing the world from a sundeck perspective and being spoilt beyond compare in every respect: no wonder ocean cruises are becoming increasingly popular each year. In 2013 as many as 1.7 million passengers from Germany already embarked on cruise lines, half a million more than only three years earlier. In addition to luxury and mega entertainment programs on these dreamboats, in many cases passengers can also look forward to German engineering and craftsmanship in the ships' bathrooms: the mixer and shower manufacturer Hansgrohe is on board of an ever increasing number of cruise liners each year. The products from the Black Forest have demonstrated their proverbial seaworthiness on the Seven Seas – thanks to maximum production quality and the very best maintenance characteristics. It is hardly surprising, therefore, to note that shipyards, shipping companies and ship interior designers across the globe rely on quality made by Hansgrohe.
Environmental compatibility is playing an increasingly important role for the dreamboats, making Hansgrohe products the ship owners’ darlings also because of these particular benefits they hold in store. “The deployment of Hansgrohe quality products contributes to more efficient and environmentally compatible operation of these floating hotels,” says Richard Grohe, Deputy CEO and responsible for innovations at the bathroom specialist Hansgrohe. This ranges from the AIDA fleet and the ocean giants of the “Solstice” class (Celebrity Cruises) all the way to the “Norwegian Getaway” delivered to the Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) in January 2014.
